Designed to fit the Yamaha SR500/SR400 frame.  Made from 16ga. (.050") aluminum and weighs only 3oz  (.08kg).  Compare to the stock piece that weighs 10oz. (.28kg).  The only real purpose for a skid plate on a SR500 is to protect the lower oil line underneath the engine.  Toss that chunky stock piece for a better looking and lighter one.

Uses your existing hardware.

SR500 PETCOCK NON-VACUUM CONVERSION

For the people that change out the stock carburetor for something better, one of the other things to take care of is the lack of a vacuum nipple on their new carburetor.  Instead of buying a new petcock that doesn't require a vacuum to operate, simply convert the one you have.  This conversion kit comes with a new back plate, gasket, and instructions for on how to convert your SR500 petcock into one that does not require a vacuum to operate. This kit should also work on 1978 XS650e models as well as a number of other XS models in the '77-'79 year range.

Requires a 2-part epoxy for the conversion (not included)

Ever try to get the front wheel off the ground on your SR500?  Even with the factory centerstand, you still need some weight in the rear.  And if you remove the centerstand, it becomes a real pain!

HERES THE ANSWER!

The Lift Lip mounts to the frame in front of the engine were the skid plate mounts.  Just remove the two factory bolts and use the supplied mounting hardware to attach it and the skid plate to the frame.  Whether you are using a sidestand, centerstand, or a race stand on the swingarm, the Lift Lip will allow you to raise the front end with a floor jack, bottle jack, or virtually any other jack.

FRONT TURN SIGNAL MOUNTING BRACKET

We had a request for these and figured that they would be a nice addition here.  These bolt onto your lower triple clamp
and will accept signals with a 10mm shaft.  A nice way to clean up the front of your bike.

After going through a few different designs, we decided to keep these simple, Cafe'Racer style. Moving either a tachometer or speedometer to the center of the bike, this will remove a bit of weight from the steering and give a cleaner
look.  All aluminum with stainless steel hardware.
